However, defensive lapses proved costly once again, with Villarreal snatching a dramatic late winner that sealed all three points.
Robert Lewandowski, who is in the race for the Pichichi Trophy, was kept quiet throughout the match and failed to find the back of the net—a result that could cost him dearly in the race against Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé, who scored again this weekend.
This result leaves Barça with just one match remaining in La Liga, but now is time for party in the stadium in the second part of the season celebrations after the bus in ‘la rúa’.
