Barcelona League celebrations: today ‘la Rúa’, Sunday more

Time to celebrate the 2024/25 season. After winning the Spanish Super Cup, the Copa del Rey, FC Barcelona have now claimed their 28th La Liga title. On Friday 16 May, from 6pm CEST, the victory parade for the champions will start and continue through the streets of Barcelona to celebrate the team’s success with the fans.

Players, Coaches, Staff Members, and Collaborators Called for Title Parade

Players, coaches, staff members, and other first-team collaborators have been summoned around 5:00 PM at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, from where they will be transported to the Spotify Camp Nou facilities—the starting point of the champions’ parade, which is set to begin around 6:00 PM.

The route agreed upon by the club and the Barcelona City Council is very similar to the one used two years ago, when Barça celebrated the league title won by Xavi Hernández’s team alongside the club’s women’s team. Around 76,000 people took to the streets back then, and even more are expected this Friday. In fact, Friday was chosen as the best day to honor the team so that many children and young people, already into their weekend, can attend and fill the streets.

    The Route: details

The open-top buses carrying the entire squad will depart from Gate 13 of the Spotify Camp Nou and begin the parade along Travessera de Les Corts. The route will continue through the following streets: Numància, Berlín, París, Balmes, Pelayo, Plaça Catalunya, Plaça Urquinaona, Trafalgar, and Passeig de Sant Joan. The champions will conclude their journey at the Arc de Triomf, just as they did two seasons ago. The parade is expected to last around three and a half hours, although this may vary depending on how many fans turn out. The starting point will be access gate 13 at Spotify Camp Nou and the route will end at the Arc de Triomf monument at around 9.30pm CEST.

    Celebrating a Treble

Flick’s squad will celebrate not only the league title with the fans but also the other two trophies they have won this season: the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey. All three titles were claimed against Real Madrid—a team boasting stars like Mbappé, Vinicius, Rodrygo, and Bellingham—making the triumphs even sweeter for a fanbase that has reconnected with the team and its style of play in a way not seen for years.

    Sunday, celebrations conclude at Montjuïc

The party will continue until Sunday when FC Barcelona face Villarreal in their final home game of the season. Music, fireworks and surprises are in store at the Estadi Lluís Companys with the highlight being the awarding of the league trophy to the team. There is still time to see the events for yourself VIP tickets available for a premium experience in the final fixture of the 2024/25 campaign at Montjuïc.

Basic tickets are still also to witness the celebrations of a league title to remember at the Estadi Olímpic.
