After winning La Liga and the celebrations on La Rúa and at the stadium, Raphinha wanted to make a gesture of gratitude to God for everything He has given him.
And his gesture surprised many — he crossed all of Montjuïc on his knees, as shown in a video posted by Raphinha’s wife, Natalia Rodrigues. It was his way of thanking God for “where He has placed them,” after a season full of titles and both team and personal success (as Raphinha himself has had his best professional season yet and is even among the favorites for the Ballon d’Or, alongside Lamine Yamal).

Not His First Time
But this isn’t the first time Raphinha has done something like this. Back in 2022, the Brazilian went across part of the pitch on his knees at Brentford’s stadium after securing Premier League survival with Leeds United. They had just won 2–1, and Raphinha chose to show his gratitude in this way, while the rest of his teammates celebrated with the fans.
“I recorded this video with tears in my eyes. Grateful and unshakable faith — God knows where He took us from, and He knows where He has placed us. He knows all the prayers we prayed together, and He answered! The privilege, my love, is to walk with you toward the goal. Another year keeping His promise… Thank you God for bringing us this far. See you next season.”
