Yesterday, FC Barcelona secured their 28th league title in history. Since tensions were high at Espanyol’s stadium, there was little celebration on the pitch, and the team quickly headed to the locker rooms—where the real party began.
Although the big celebration will be today, with the “Rúa” (the parade through Barcelona with the team bus), this post covers all the details of yesterday’s locker room party.
First, we saw the players celebrating in full swing, later joined by Hansi Flick and the coaching staff, as well as Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta. He always shows great passion and joy whenever the team wins, and this title marked his happiest moment since returning to the presidency—so much so that he’s already announced he will run for re-election.
We even saw Wojciech Szczęsny smoking a cigar!
