The League Parade around Barcelona´s streets

Celebrations Begin in Barcelona After La Liga Triumph: Fans Flood the Streets

The first stage of FC Barcelona’s La Liga title celebrations took place today, with thousands of fans filling the streets of the Catalan capital. The team toured the city aboard an open-top bus, greeted by one of the largest and most passionate crowds in recent memory. The second part of the celebration is set for Sunday, with a show at the stadium following the final match of the season.

Right on schedule—just as Hansi Flick likes it—the parade (‘La Rúa‘) kicked off at 6:00 PM, with the Barça squad boarding the open-top bus. Over the next three and a half hours, they made their way from Camp Nou to Arc de Triomf, winding through the heart of the city.

A great view from where the parade started, which is Camp Nou, Barcelona’s stadium. As you know, it’s currently under renovation, but the team is expected to return there next season.

Barcelona’s colors painted the scene, only broken by the occasional flag representing the home countries of individual players. Fans flooded the streets, turning the event into a true mass celebration. Before the bus even left the stadium’s esplanade, club president Joan Laporta took several selfies with his phone, capturing the moment like any other die-hard supporter. Though he didn’t ride with the team, he made sure to preserve a memory for life.

While everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, the players from La Masía seemed to feel it most deeply. Many arrived at the bus still eating the traditional local lollipop. Fermín, in particular, was among the most enthusiastic. So much so, that when he jumped up to sing “Un Dia de Partit” with great energy, Hansi Flick instinctively grabbed him for safety.

    “Our Style, Our Legacy”

That was the motto displayed on the front of the team bus, while at the back, Eric García, Iñigo Martínez, and Koundé stood watch over the club’s three trophies: La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup. Szczesny—wearing the same quirky hat he sported during his birthday celebration, emblazoned with the word “smoker”—remained calm and collected throughout, just like Flick, who received loud cheers along the route.

The most repeated chant of the evening? “¡Campeones, campeones!”—led with full passion by Fermín and Casadó. There were also spontaneous bursts of the famous “el que no bote es madridista” chant.

    Robert Lewandowski so happy!

A Special Bond with the City

One of the quieter figures of the night was breakout star Lamine Yamal, despite many fans waving banners and wearing shirts with his name and number. He picked up the mic a few times, but always with humility. Items flew back and forth between the fans and the players, including a beach ball that landed on the bus.

Ferran Torres, recovering from appendix surgery earlier in the week, couldn’t attend in person—but he joined virtually by sharing live updates on social media from his hospital room.

“There’s an incredible connection between the city and the club,” Ter Stegen said in an interview with Barça One. “The weather’s perfect, people are excited, and I’m really happy to celebrate with them.”

Fermín added, “Back in Linares, I could never have imagined something like this. Now I’m here, winning titles with the club I’ve always loved. It’s amazing.”

    A City Packed With Passion

Thanks to the warm weather and the fact it was a Friday, the streets of Barcelona were absolutely packed. From crowded balconies to fans climbing bus stops and traffic lights for a better view, the city’s passion was on full display—especially along the central avenues, where the scenes were nothing short of spectacular.
